Today was HOT again... and very humid. There are far less hills now though! We left the church at 7 after a nice breakfast and started out in a temperature that was already too warm for riding. We enjoyed some nice roads on the first part of the day - we made our first 30 miles in just two hours.

We stopped in Mineral at the local restaurant to get some pancakes to refuel us for the rest of the ride. While we were in the restaurant we kept watching people stand back and stare at our bikes and all of our gear.

A few miles after Mineral we rode up toward Lake Anna where we saw some nice houses and boats, and crossed a few bridges over different parts of the lake. The last stretch after the lake was pretty brutal. It was starting to get way too hot!

A bit outside of Doswell we arrived at our WarmShowers host, Kathleen and Dave Kennedy. We were welcomed in right away and given a nice glass of ice water. I then showered, and came downstairs where I was offered a beer and a yummy salad which included some veggies from their garden. The salad was followed by a brownie and ice cream - doesn't get much better than that!

The rest of the day was spent relaxing, doing laundry, writing the blog, and conversing with our wonderful hosts. We then had a great dinner that was of course followed by more ice cream and brownies.
