I decided to snooze my alarm a couple of times this morning. There was a thick fog in the morning that kept the sun hidden. I made my breakfast then rolled around to the other cyclists' campsite and said goodbye and wished them safe travels.

I had a nice ride in the morning while there was still cloud coverage but after a while the sun came out and was hot for the rest of the day. I went through some fairly ugly areas today, it was easy to see that many of the people out here don't have much money and many of the homes looks like they are occupied by horders. I've also noticed a lot of garbage on the streets and river which contribute to some foul smells from time to time.

I stopped in Combs for a quick bite to eat before continuing on. The rest of the day wasn't too bad, just one more hill then a gradual climb to Hindman where I would be staying. I met a couple of cyclists on my decent on the last hill and they told me about the place to stay in Hindman since the place on my map is no longer available.

In Hindman I ended up staying on some guy's porch who normally runs a cyclist bed and breakfast but he was out of town on vacation. His neighbors were kind enough to let me in for a shower. I was happy to have a place to stay though it definitely was not ideal.
