Today was hot for pretty much the entire ride. It was another one of those drenched in sweat all day kinda days...

About 30 miles into the ride I stopped for a second breakfast in Harrodsburg and was on my way soon after. It is always so nice to get a little break in and enjoy some food after a few hours of cycling in the morning!

About 25 miles from the end of my days trip while I was kind of in the middle of nowhere on a small back road , I started having troubles with one of my shifters/shifting cables. I had to play mechanic for a few minutes to try to get it fixed and it was working just like it should after adjusting a couple things. I decided this was as good a time as any to have another break for a quick lunch so I ate a little bit then continued up the hill.

A few miles later at the top of a big hill I came up to signs indicating there was water and camping for cyclists. I went to check it out and there were two coolers full of water and other drinks as well as fruits, bars, and other snacks! Little things like this on the trail are so amazing.

I got to Berea and went to the Walmart so I could get some groceries and fuel for my camping stove since I ran out a few days ago. After Walmart i went to the Oh Kentucky Campground where I stayed for the night. I ran into Bob again briefly at the campsite and we chatted about the days ride and how the hills are getting bigger! I then made some food and got ready for bed.
