I woke up this morning and everything was wet - Not because it had rained, but because of the humidity. Even everything on the inside of the tent was nice and moist. I had to wipe everything down before packing it up and making breakfast. I was on the road at about 7. The weather wasn't too bad this morning, the clouds kept the sun pretty well blocked.
When I got to Bendavis (a little more than 20 miles away) I stopped to get a slice of breakfast pizza. When I got inside a storm was starting outside. I ate my pizza and waited for the storm but decided to eventually just head out since it was mostly just wind and not much rain. I got about a mile down the road before it began to absolutely downpour. I rode out the rain for a bit until I couldn't see even a few feet in front of me, so I decided to stop and wait it out.
When the rain stopped I continued on and it was a very nice temperature for the rest of the day while I was riding. I made it to the Alley Spring Campground around three o'clock. I set up my tent then went up the street to see Alley Spring and Alley Mill. I then returned to the campground to take a shower and make myself some food.
After I made some food and was working on my blog I was approached by a man named David. He is from Missouri and is driving the Missouri section of the TransAm trail and bringing his bike along with him. Since my campsite was paid for to hold up to two tents, I invited him to stay with me at my campsite. We chatted for a bit while I wrote up blogs then headed to bed.
